Opening General Session
Affordable Energy
Monday, 27 October • 1030–1200
Journalist and broadcaster Maryam Nemazee will moderate an expert panel discussion on our options for affordable energy in light of controlling costs, managing environmental impact, and advocating sound policy decisions.
Special Sessions and Events
We are offering the following special sessions
with a projects, facilities, and construction focus:
Unlocking Hidden Production Potential in Existing Facilities and Mature Fields
Learn how you can minimise cost and maximise recovery in this special session hosted by the Separations Technology Technical Section. It will explore options for optimising separation facilities to handle the increase in water production and the drop in wellhead pressure by assessing methods more suitable for the change in production profiles.
Flow Assurance and Multiphase Flow
Deeper waters and high pressures pose flow assurance challenges that require an understanding of complex multiphase flows. In this special session hosted by the Flow Assurance Technical Section, expert panelists will discuss a number of subjects, including multiphase flow and hydrates, and paraffin deposition.
Projects, Facilities, and Construction Dinner
Asset managers are faced with the commercial decision whether to sell the asset, reinvest in the asset, or incur the cost of decommissioning. While the number and complexity of problems of mature assets are challenging, there are nevertheless a number of viable options.
This panel discussion will address the facilities-related issues involved in late-life strategies.
Technical Directors' Special Session
Aging Assets in the North Sea Sector: Three Different Perspectives
This panel will feature the different perspectives of three North Sea sector operations on aging or maturing assets.
In addition, we are offering the following
technical section events with a PFC focus:
Carbon Capture and Seques
